School-based plan on the use of
the English Enhancement Grant for Primary School (EEGS)

Our school has successfully applied for the English Enhancement Grant this year.

This success has opened a doorway of learning opportunities within our school.

We have been focusing on strengthening student reading and writing abilities by developing a school based vocabulary for Primary 1-6.

This grant also helps us to develop a Young Writers”¦ Workshop for P.4 and P.6 students. We aim at enhancing students”¦ language proficiency in writing through exposure to a wide range of texts, and emphasize the development of the entire writing process through drafting, revising, editing and publishing.

Brainstorming before writing helps students to develop a clear picture about the topic and provides them with the key vocabulary.
